Has Anyone Purchased Automotive Tires Online?

I know it probably doesn’t make sense to purchase automotive tires online as a normal practice, but is it a bad idea to get a spare tire online? Or if I purchase a full set, do tire shops look badly on that if I go to them for the tire change, but not the tire purchase?

Best to Buy Used or New Tires?

I’ve always wondered this. I’ve always bought new tires and turned away offers for used tires. I have no reason other than assuming new meant better. But used are obviously cheaper. How do you determine if its worth it, and at what point does used become dangerous?

It seems every tire shop i’ve been to has them lying around and offers used, so if anyone knows, maybe next time I’ll give used tires a try.

Do I Really Need Snow Tires?

Ok, this one is a question to those in the know. What’s the deal with snow tires? I live in Colorado and they seem like a good idea, but I have a set of new all purpose tires. Am I ok with those, or do I need to invest in snow tires for the winter? I drive an SUV, so I have what look like pretty heavy duty suv tires, but like i said, I don’t know much about this. And can someone tell me what snow tires offer that all purpose tires don’t?

Hi all, I created this Automotive Tires Online because I’m tired of my normal tire dealer. I’m also having a hard time find consumer reviews of locations and tire shops. So I think here we can all help each other find the best tire stores with the cheapest tire prices.

I realize that this is a huge topic and the USA offers countless options, but once we get some feedback we can start to cover more specific areas. For starters perhaps we can just refer one another to the best automotive tires online sites, and later catelogue recommended physical locations.
